Name:

Title:
Airline Pilot
Copilot on DC-8 at United Parcel Service
Currently I fly both in the U.S. and around the world.
Path:
I had an interest in aviation from the time I was in junior high
school. I looked into aviation as a carrer by visiting the local
airport, taking flying lessons after school and taking a class at
the local community college. While I earned a business degree at
the University of North Dakota I also continued my flying and earned
a major in Aviation Administration. While finishing school, I
taught flying at the college. By searching for new and better
flying jobs I made it to where I am today, Flying jets around the
world.
Comments:
If you have any interest in flying or working in aviation, visit
your local airport and ask questions. Find out about aviation at
the library or on the web. Aviation is a male dominated profession
in that only about 7 - 10% of pilots are women. This is changing
every day as more and more girls and women learn the joy of an
aviation career. It is a fantastic field that allows anyone to
travel, perhaps fly airplanes yourself, and meet others who enjoy
the same interests. I have never regretted my choice to fly, I
love my job. If we must work and earn a living in life, why not
get paid to do your hobby, flying!
